Liangsheng ZHANG
(2011 Paul and May Chu UG Research Award)
Liangsheng is a third-year Physics student whose home town is Chengdu, Sichuan. He joined Prof. Kwok Yip Szeto's research group in 2009, and worked on evolutionary game dynamics. In the past year, he studied quantum random walks, which is the work that led to this award. He found some behaviors of walkers in the quantum random walk different from those in the classical case, and this is potentially useful in quantum computation. He will conduct Physics postgraduate studies in Princeton University in the coming year.
